Afghan TIR International Transportation Company
Established in 2016, Afghan TIR International Transportation Company is a licensed logistics provider authorized by the Ministry of Transport & Aviation and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of Afghanistan. Founded by Nazir Ahmad Rahimi, the company operates under the leadership of CEO Abdul Saboor Rahimi and Vice President Jalil Ahmad, with active branches in Kabul, Herat, and Nimroz. Afghan TIR secured its license through a substantial government guaranteed investment. The company operates 30 high-tonnage trailer trucks, approved by the Commercial Court, with assets valued at $900,000. The initial investment for licensing and operations was approximately $300,000. In 2017, Afghan TIR became an official member of the TIR system, a global customs transit network under the International Road Transport Union (IRU). Since then, the company has contributed to major regional trade routes, including the Lapis Lazuli Corridor, the KTAI project, and the Pakistan-Afghanistan-Uzbekistan route. As of 2021, Afghan TIR manages a fleet of 320 contracted high tonnage trucks, 15 privately-owned vehicles, and 80 trucks from its own fleet. These operate across the Middle East and Central Asia, offering transport solutions with tarpaulin trucks, containers, refrigerated units, flatbeds, and tankers.
